This Privacy Policy applies to the Teleprompter Automatic mobile application (the “Application”), developed by App Box EOOD (“Service Provider”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). The Application is provided “AS IS”.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information (Optional)
The Application allows users to create an optional account. When you register, we may collect and store:
- Your name (if provided)
- Your email address
- Authentication credentials (securely stored password hash or Google sign-in identifier)
You may register using:
- Email and password
- Google Sign-In (OAuth authentication)
If you sign in using Google, we receive basic account information (such as your name and email address) solely for authentication purposes. We do not receive or store your Google account password.
Account registration is optional. Core app functionality can be used without creating an account.
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
The Application may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- Device IP address
- Device type and operating system
- App usage statistics
- Crash logs and performance diagnostics
- Account session, device, subscription, entitlement, purchase verification, storage usage, and abuse-prevention signals needed to secure accounts and enforce service limits
1.3 Email marketing (optional)
If you separately choose to receive Teleprompter Automatic email tips, product updates, or guides, we collect and process your email address, language or locale, subscription source, consent status, consent version, timestamps for consent, confirmation, unsubscribe, suppression, bounce, or complaint events, and minimal email provider sync metadata.
We use Brevo as our email marketing provider. Marketing subscription is optional and separate from account creation, purchases, support messages, cookie or analytics consent, and app permissions. Existing account emails are not used for marketing unless you give separate consent.
We use double opt-in where applicable. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. Account, security, purchase, support, and other service emails are managed separately from marketing emails.
1.4 Push notifications and notification preferences
If you choose to enable push notifications, we collect and process information needed to deliver and manage those notifications, including a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token, platform, app version, locale, timezone, device and session identifiers, notification permission status, notification category preferences, consent records, delivery status, and interaction events such as notification opens or dismissals.
We use this information to provide optional service notifications, such as export or import processing status, recording reminders that you schedule, account security alerts, and important account or subscription notices. Push notifications are optional, and the core app remains usable if you do not enable them or later turn them off.
You can manage notification categories in the Application settings and can disable notifications in your device system settings. We do not use push notifications for marketing or promotional messages unless you separately opt in where such a feature is available. We do not include script text, private project names, filenames, comments, raw receipts, or other confidential user-generated content in notification titles or bodies by default.
2. Voice Data Collection and Processing
To provide Voice Scroll and subtitle generation features, the Application requires microphone access.
- Audio is captured in real time when the feature is enabled.
- Audio is transmitted securely via encrypted HTTPS WebSocket (WSS).
- Audio is processed using:
- Google Speech-to-Text API
- OpenAI speech-to-text services (for subtitle generation)
We do not permanently store your voice/audio recordings. Audio data is processed only to provide the requested feature and is not retained.
Transcriptions are used solely to enable scrolling or generate subtitles. They are not used for advertising, profiling, or behavioral tracking.
3. Cloud Storage and Synchronization
The Application allows users to synchronize scripts, folders, and video files across devices. To provide this functionality, certain user-generated content may be securely stored in cloud storage.
- Teleprompter scripts created by the user
- Folder structures used to organize scripts
- Video recordings created within the Application
This data is stored only to enable cross-device synchronization and access to user content.
User-generated files are stored using secure cloud infrastructure, including Cloudflare R2 object storage.
We do not analyze, sell, or use this content for advertising or profiling purposes. Access to stored content is limited to providing synchronization and functionality requested by the user.
Users remain in control of their content and may delete files or account data at any time.
4. Consent Management & Advertising
The Application integrates Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage user consent in compliance with GDPR and the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF).
Depending on your region, you may be presented with a consent form allowing you to choose whether to receive personalized or non-personalized advertising.
You may update your consent preferences at any time within the Application.
More information: Google User Consent Policy
5. Third-Party Services
The Application uses the following third-party services:
- Google Play Services
- Google Analytics for Firebase
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notification delivery)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Google Speech-to-Text API
- OpenAI speech services
- Cloudflare (cloud infrastructure and storage)
- Brevo (email marketing only after separate opt-in)
These services may process limited technical or usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
6. Data Retention
Account information (such as name and email address) is retained for as long as your account remains active.
If you delete your account, your account data will be permanently removed from our servers, except where retention is required for legal or security reasons.
Voice/audio data is not stored after processing.
Push notification tokens are retained only while they are active and associated with your account, device, and permission state. They may be revoked or marked stale when you log out, delete your account, disable notifications, remove a device session, or when Firebase reports the token as invalid. Notification preferences, consent records, inbox items, delivery attempts, suppression logs, and interaction records may be retained as needed to provide the notification feature, respect your choices, prevent abuse, troubleshoot delivery, and maintain security or compliance records.
User-generated content such as scripts, folders, and videos may be stored in cloud storage for synchronization purposes until the user deletes the content, deletes their account, or the inactive free-account retention rule below applies.
For accounts without an active paid subscription, trial, grace period, lifetime entitlement, or other paid access right, if the account remains inactive for 12 consecutive months, we may delete cloud-stored user content, including scripts, folders, videos, and related sync or storage metadata, without additional individual notice. Activity may include signing in, using an authenticated session, synchronizing, uploading, downloading, changing account settings, or restoring a purchase. This cloud cleanup does not delete files stored locally on your device, but deleted cloud content may not be recoverable.
We may retain limited account, security, entitlement, purchase verification, session, storage, and abuse-prevention records for as long as reasonably necessary to protect the service, enforce service limits, resolve purchase or account issues, comply with law, or maintain security records.
For instructions on deleting your account, please visit: Account Deletion Instructions .
7. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/WSS) and secure storage practices.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
