The Web Dashboard is useful when you want to write scripts on a computer, read in a browser, record from a webcam, manage cloud content, or control a reader session remotely. Sign in with the same Teleprompter Automatic account you use on mobile so scripts, devices, and subscription state stay consistent.
What you can do on Web
- Create folders and scripts in the dashboard.
- Import supported text files into the script editor.
- Open a script in browser reader mode.
- Adjust prompter speed, font size, alignment, fullscreen, mirror, countdown, and cue indicator.
- Record video from the browser when camera and microphone access are available.
- Save local browser recordings, export MP4 when supported, upload recordings to cloud, and manage devices or plan settings.
Browser requirements
Use a current desktop browser with camera, microphone, local storage, IndexedDB, MediaRecorder, and fullscreen support enabled. Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox may differ in recording and MP4 export support. If MP4 export is unavailable, try another current browser or export from a mobile app.
Allow camera and microphone access
When the browser asks for access, allow camera and microphone for the dashboard domain. If you previously blocked access, open the browser site settings, allow camera and microphone, then reload the dashboard. Also check operating-system privacy settings if the browser itself is blocked.
If Web recording does not work
- Close other tabs or apps that are using the webcam.
- Reload the dashboard after changing permissions.
- Try a lower resolution in the recorder.
- Check private browsing mode, because local recording storage can be limited.
- Try another current browser if MP4 export or recording is unsupported.
Differences from mobile apps
The web version is strongest for script writing, dashboard management, browser reading, local webcam recordings, and Web Remote. Mobile apps are better when you need phone camera workflows, device-specific microphones, and the full set of mobile editing tools. For mobile-first recording help, use camera and recording settings.
Expected result
You should be able to sign in, create or open a script, read in the browser, and record when the browser supports the required media features. Return to Teleprompter Automatic Help Center for related sync, billing, and remote-control topics.
