A small pitch glide
Explore a little movement in pitch without reaching for high or low notes.
Follow the steps
Begin with one short, comfortable hum. If it does not feel easy today, stop this exercise.
On the next hum, let the pitch rise a little and return to where it began. Keep the movement small and the volume quiet; the example is not a pitch target.
Rest with ordinary breathing. Repeat once if comfortable. Do not search for your highest note or stretch the sound to fill a breath.
Say the question and answer below in your normal voice. Notice the natural change in pitch, without trying to sing the words.
Listen to the sound pattern
Synthesized sound examples show the sequence and pitch movement. They are not recordings of a teacher or a target voice. Use a comfortable pitch of your own; you do not need to match the sound.
The example could not play. You can read the sound pattern and follow the written steps.
Try it in speech
Are we ready to begin? Yes, let’s start with the first idea.
Use the question from your own presentation. Let its meaning guide your intonation.
Check your experience
