How to Live Stream with a Teleprompter on iPhone and iPad

Teleprompter Automatic for iPhone and iPad can send your camera feed to a live platform while the script stays in the reader. You can enter an RTMP or RTMPS destination manually, or create a YouTube stream after signing in.

Prepare the platform first

Choose YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or a custom streaming service.
Create or schedule a live broadcast on that platform.
Copy the stream URL and stream key. If the platform gives you one complete RTMP link, keep that full link instead.
Treat the stream key like a password. Do not publish it or include it in screenshots.

Add the stream in Teleprompter Automatic

Open your script in the reader on iPhone or iPad.
Open the live streaming setup and choose the matching platform.
Paste the stream URL and stream key. If you received one complete link, paste it into the URL field and leave the key empty.
Confirm that the address is valid, then return to the reader.

Create a YouTube stream in the app

For YouTube, you can sign in once, choose the stream details and privacy, and let Teleprompter Automatic create the YouTube stream URL and key. You can also paste existing YouTube Live details manually. The channel must already be eligible for live streaming.

Run a short live check

Before announcing the broadcast, check framing, microphone input, network stability, script position, and scroll mode. Start the stream, confirm that the platform receives video and audio, then begin reading. When finished, stop the live stream in Teleprompter Automatic and confirm that the destination has ended.

Find the URL and stream key

If the stream does not start

Paste the URL and key again without extra spaces.
Check whether the platform requires RTMP or RTMPS and whether the broadcast is ready to receive video.
Confirm camera and microphone permissions.
Try a stable Wi-Fi connection and close other apps using the camera.
Create a new stream key if the previous one was reset or exposed.
