An easy out-breath
Notice a gentle flow of air without making it a length challenge.
Follow the steps
Sit or stand comfortably and take a few ordinary breaths. Avoid holding your breath before the exercise.
After a comfortable breath in, let air out on a quiet “sss” for a short moment. Stop before you feel a need to squeeze out more air.
Breathe normally and rest. Repeat at most twice if comfortable. The optional guide is for silent breathing between attempts, not for timing your “sss”.
Say the sample sentence at an everyday pace. If it feels too long, divide it after “draft” and breathe naturally.
Optional breathing guide
Breathe naturally
The guide suggests 2 seconds in and 3 seconds out, followed by natural breathing. Follow it only if comfortable. Stop whenever you need to; the guide ends after three rounds.
Try it in speech
I’ll send the draft, then we can choose a time to talk.
Choose one sentence from your script and divide it at a meaningful point if needed.
